HIGHLIGHTS
Norval Foundation is dedicated to the research, understanding and care of twentieth and twenty-first century visual art from Africa and its diasporas. Located adjacent to the picturesque Table Mountain National Park, and with a belief that art and artists have the power to enrich our lives and communities, we offer a wide variety of offerings around our art programme. Our Sculpture Garden, world-class Exhibitions, Skotnes Restaurant and Vincent’s Playground for kids, all combine to create a unique experience of art, nature, architecture and outdoor family fun. We are also dedicated to art education with our on-site Learning Centre and our Education Programme Team ensuring that every child, whether home schooled or attending private or public school, visits the Norval Foundation at least once in their primary school or high school careers.
MORE INFORMATION

At Norval Foundation we aim to create high-quality exhibitions and public programming to broaden our visitors understanding of the visual arts. The Norval Foundation is honoured to be the custodian of the Gerard Sekoto Foundation, the Edoardo Villa Estate Collection and the Alexis Preller Archive. We believe that art has the power to enrich our lives and that artists contribute to our communities in a profound way. The Norval family are the founders and initial funders of the Norval Foundation. Their aim is to make art widely accessible to local and international visitors by creating a self-sustaining centre for art. The proceeds from capital donations will be used to secure the foundation for future generations. The museum was expertly designed by DHK Architects and the Sculpture Garden by celebrated landscape architect, Keith Kirsten.
