Marvel at breath taking views from Rotary Way Lookout Point before exploring the town at your leisure. Go for a walk along the kloof top pathways which offers some of the best shore-based whale watching opportunities in the world during season.
Indulge in an optional Urban Wine Tasting at the renowned Wine Glass restaurant.
Get up close to the whales on a cruise with any of our whale watching cruise partners. Pre-booking is strongly recommended. (Please study details listed under the Important information section of this tour)
Conclude the adventure with a stop at the iconic Peregrine Farm Stall before returning to Cape Town via Sir Lowry’s Pass.

Important Information
How to pre-book a whale cruise

Boat based whale watching is not included in the tour price and seats on these cruises cannot be guaranteed unless pre-booked. Our guide will endeavour to do his/her very best on the day to get you a seat but we would highly recommend that you pre-book a seat on one of the 3 options listed below beforehand. Please ensure that you book a cruise departure at 12h00 noon (or as close to this time as is available) to fit into the tour shedule:

Cancellation Policy

* Refundable cancellation up to 24hrs before departure. Please note an R20 admin fee per ticket cancelled is applicable.
* Tour only operates if there is a minimum of 4 passengers booked.
* Booking dates will not be amended within 24 hours from travel.
* If a customer is ill then they have to notify us prior to the tour and would have to provide a doctors note as proof they visited a doctor.
* When a client has missed the tour due to a delayed flight or late docking they would have to supply acceptable proof of this.
* Should you miss the tour due to being involved in an accident we would require you to provide us with confirmation of the accident report with the South African Police Services.
*When a client misses the departure due to arriving late they will have to catch up with the tour on their own cost (UBER) or if they choose not to they will not be refunded.
* If a client arrives late due to being ill we will not amend the date, nor offer a refund as we are not able to sell their seats after the tour has departed.

Can you do the whale cruise and wine tasting

No, you have the option to either go on the whale sightseeing cruise at your own cost or visit a wine estate for a wine tasting experience

Hermanus is a town of natural beauty where you can explore its quaint shops, galleries, enjoy a meal while enjoying panoramic views over Walker Bay or go for a walk along the kloof top pathways. Hermanus offers the best shore-based whale watching opportunities in the world during season where close sightings of the Southern Right whale are highly likely. Hermanus is also known for its wine industry. The Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, located just outside the town is home to several award-winning wineries which you will have the opportunity to taste some of their wines at the renowned Wine Glass restaurant. Join our enthusiastic and knowledgeable English-speaking guide for a unique and memorable day. The day starts with a scenic coastal drive through charming seaside towns on your way to Hermanus. Our first stop will be the Rotary Way Lookout Point where you will enjoy panoramic views of the town and Walker Bay, thereafter you will have up to 3 hrs of leisure time in town where you will have the opportunity to have an Urban Wine Tasting at the Wine Glass restaurant. Note: there is an optional whale sightseeing cruise during season where we will drop you after the Lookout Point and collect you later in the afternoon. Upon return, we will stop at the iconic Peregrine Farm Stall before crossing over Sir Lowry’s Pass as we hear back to Cape Town.
