Cape Town stop(s) of the month: four eggcellent Easter stops

24 March 2016

School holidays coupled with Easter – what better time to hop on an open-top red bus!

Beat the boredom and make a day of exploring Cape Town these Easter holidays. Every City Sightseeing ticket holder – both the young and the young at heart – can hop on and hop off all four tours, and enjoy up to 27 stops.

Of course, what would these holidays be without an Easter programme for the kids. Here are four eggcellent stops that every bunny will love:

V&A Waterfront (stop 1)

Easter entertainment at the V&A Waterfront never disappoints, and this year is no different! Activities range from playing in a cardboard city to Shakespeare performances, an open-air cinema and a chance to meet the Easter bunny. Check out the full programme, together with dates and times, here.

Table Mountain Aerial Cableway (stop 7)

Think puppet shows, magic tricks, and the Easter bunny and his magical fairy – that’s what’s in store for you when you visit the Cableway these holidays. And on Easter Sunday (27 March) there’s a delicious Easter egg hunt at the summit, every hour on the hour between 10am and 2pm. Get all the details here.

Iziko Museums and surrounds (stop 14)

From painting in the Company’s Garden to reptile receptions and drumming, visits to the Iziko Museums and its surrounds promises to be a lot of fun. After painting in the garden, roam the South African National Gallery; or explore the exhibitions at the South African Museum after your reptile experience. Here’s the full holiday programme.

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden (stop 20)

Easter egg hunts, a guided walk and painting a box for nature’s treasures. You don’t have to be an Earth child to relish the idea of searching for chocolate eggs in the beautiful gardens or creating a special treasure box for your garden finds. Find all the eggciting details here.

Don’t forget – kids get their very own channel to listen to on the bus, as well as a free activity book with our lovable characters to keep them entertained during their red bus ride or at home. Plus, those under the age of five travel for free (maximum of two kids per one paying adult) and children aged five to 17 pay half price. Buy your tickets online and save a little more.
