Zoo Lake - Zoo Lake is a popular spot for families to spend a laid back morning or afternoon feeding the local ducks and geese or picnicking on the lawns. You can also rent out a rowing boat to head out on the lake to relax and enjoy a snack or watch the birds. Hop off the bus at STOP 2 to find it.

Johannesburg Zoo - This one is really popular with the kids. Hop off at the Johannesburg Zoo at STOP 3 to see the big 5, as well as a number of other animals from all around the world. From lions to snakes, elephants to lemurs, there’s a menagerie of animals to see and learn about.

James Hall Transport Museum - This is a great attraction for kids and adults alike, especially fans of history and transport. The James Hall Transport Museum has over 2500 vehicles, from steam engines to cars, motorcycles to buses, trams to carriages and more. It’s located at STOP 12.

Gold Reef City - If the kids had fun before, they’re in for a real blast at this stop. Gold Reef City theme park is full of thrilling roller coasters and rides, all themed around the Johannesburg gold rush. In fact, there’s a real gold mine beneath the theme park, which families can take a tour of about 80m underground. The park is located at STOP 13.

Sci Bono Science Centre - The Sci Bono Centre is a place of fun and learning for kids, with interactive exhibits and games, climbing walls, and scientific demonstrations. It’s a huge centre, and it gives the kids plenty to do while parents either join in or head over to the SAB World of Beer nearby. Both are located in the Newtown Precinct at STOP 15.
