City Sightseeing receives numerous ‘Pay it Forward’ nominations

Thank you for the many heartfelt nominations we received this year

In celebration of Nelson Mandela International Day we called on the public to nominate someone they feel deserves a fantastic day out. And in true Madiba spirit, South Africans heeded the call to action, telling us why their nominee should be awarded tickets to explore Cape Town or Johannesburg on board a red bus.

We received many heartfelt nominations. Here are a few of our favourites:

“I have nominated Cathy Cox; she is a wonderful grandmother of a seven-year-old autistic boy. Despite her ill health she always goes the extra mile to ensure her grandson is happy. He would absolutely love this bus ride and grandma can do with a well-deserved day out!” – Cape Town

“This person (Bongiwe Ncube) is a fabulous BFF. She’s my penguin ” – Johannesburg

“Single mom (Constance Chilwane) to three girls. Wakes up at 3am to go to work, returns at 8pm and still manages to do homework, clean, cook and still maintains a smile on her face 24/7.” – Johannesburg

“I have nominated Joana Dos Rais, because she is a selfless and warm-hearted person; she is an inspiration just by this and the world would be a better place with people like her. Great people deserve to go on great adventures.” – Cape Town

“Braam Laubscher has a heart of gold. He always reaches out to others and always tries to help wherever he can.” – Cape Town

Thank you to everyone who selflessly recognised someone else for a red bus treat. We look forward to having all the winning “Pay it Forward” recipients on board with us.
