Treat mom with a trip on the red bus AND a massage this Mother’s Day!

  • 04 May 2017 | Carla de Klerk

Looking to spoil mom? This Mother’s Day, mothers travelling on the red bus can see the sights while having a free massage en route!

On 14 May, we’re partnering with the International Academy of Health and Skin Care to make sure all moms on board the red bus have an extra-special Mother’s Day in Cape Town.

Top stops for mom:

Indulge in a luxurious high tea at the Mount Nelson (stop 15)

The iconic pink exterior and white arches of the Mount Nelson Hotel at the foot of Table Mountain set an elegant tone from the moment you enter. Be transported to a bygone era of high luxury, taking in the decor conjuring up the pages of a Jane Austen novel and a cake table that would have done Marie Antoinette proud.

Price: R225 per person for morning tea; R295 per person for afternoon and evening tea.

Bring on the bling at Jewel Africa (stop 6)

Jewel Africa specialises in fine handmade jewellery and mom can have a custom or personalised piece made on site to be collected within a day. A master diamond cutter will share a wealth of knowledge, while Jewel Africa’s master crafters guide visitors through a diamond cutting and polishing tour and teach them how to choose and buy the right diamond. Another highlight is witnessing the pouring of a nine-carat gold bar.

Price: Entry is free.
