#FirstThursdays Cape Town  has fast become a popular monthly event on the city’s social calendar. And this month, the red bus and its partners at 81 Long Street took part for the first time.

Held on the first Thursday of every month, the event is open to anyone and everyone – and free for all to attend. It’s an opportunity for locals and visitors to explore the inner city on foot, visiting art galleries and attending cultural events in the CBD.

Stop 5, home to our biggest and busiest tour office, opened its doors to #FirstThursdays goers on Thursday, 4 August. Together with Kamili Coffee, Amiti Shop and our Travel Depot, the red bus welcomed crowds of people with free local beer on tap, wine, macaroons and snacks.

Our tenants in the Travel Depot – namely Cape Town Helicopters, SA Forest Adventures and Aquila Private Game Reserve – offered one-night-only deals and our one-day bus tickets were discounted.
