Take a trip to the beach at Sun City’s Valley of the Waves

Start the day early and load the family in the car to head out to Sun City! About 2 and a half-hours drive out of Jozi, the sunny resort is well worth the wait, and the whole family won’t get enough of the Valley of the Waves. With an artificial sandy beach and cove that produces real waves, it’s the best way to spend a day at the beach in Gauteng. There are also lots of water slides in the park, and a lazy river for you to float along in on inflatable tubes.

You can find many pools in the resort, and the water has varying depths, so even the little ones can swim safely. There are always lifeguards on duty to keep a watchful eye over the swimmers.

Once you have had your fill of the waterpark, the whole family can enjoy some 10 pin bowling, or the kids can have a blast at the arcade while the parents try out the slots at the casino to end off a day of fun in the sun.
