School holidays in Cape Town

December 2020

The 2020 school year is finally over.  With schools ringing the bell for the last time this year, it’s time to plan the upcoming holidays.  Cape Town offers so many family-friendly options for children of all ages.  The last thing you want to hear about these holidays is ‘I am bored…’ so we have researched for you and have listed ten options below which we believe offers a variety for all ages.

  • Acrobranch Kids in the Constantia Valley

Located in the Constantia Valley (on our Purple route) Acrobranch is a treetop experience dedicated to offering kids and adults a unique adventure as they move from tree to tree in lush, green forests. Allowing your kids to swing through trees, dangling from branches, balancing in the air, this is the perfect outdoor adventure for kids, young and old. All safety protocols are in place and the kids are securely fastened into a snug-fitting harness, whilst being hooked into secure lines throughout the course.  Let the kids ‘hang about’ while the parents can enjoy a coffee and relax.

All their studios comply with social distancing requirements and very stringent hygiene protocols are in place. The studios are sanitized regularly throughout the day and strict hygiene protocols are followed at all times.

  • Boulders Beach Family Fun

Boulders Beach located in Simons Town is the perfect spot for children as huge boulders shelter the cove from currents, wind, and large waves.  Get there early to get a good spot and enjoy the sun, sea, and sand, all whilst watching the little African Penguins frolicking in the water.  This beach also can be accessed via our full day Peninsula Tour.
