Passengers aboard the Hop-on Hop-off tour will experience a unique and leisurely way to see the Constantia Valley as they journey through rolling vineyards on our open-air bus stopping in at some of South Africa’s oldest and most distinguished wine estates.
Our tour transports passengers around a loop of stops allowing them to hop-off at each stop and experience the activities on offer, be it wine tasting, a cellar tour, lunch or simply a stroll through the vineyards and when they are ready, hop-on to continue the tour.
The tour takes passengers right into the heart of the Constantia Valley, with a narration focusing on the history and wine cultivation in the Cape and unparalleled views of the valley its vineyards.
This tour will allow you to make stops at the following 2 Wine Estates:
Groot Constantia: This historic estate dates back over 300 years. • Guided or self-guided cellar tour (10H00 - 16H00) - Hourly * TASTING (3 wines of your choice)
Beau Constantia: Open for Wine Tasting: Tuesday to Sunday from 11h00 – 17h00; last Wine Tastings commence at 16:00. Walk-in guests will be accepted for wine & drinks on a first come, first served basis This estate is not suitable for big groups.

No need to drink and drive!
We suggest you start from Stop 1 (Aquarium at the V&A) or Stop 5 (81 Long Street). You can also use any of the other Red bus stops. Use the Blue Mini Peninsular Tour past Kirstenbosch to join the Cape Wine Bus.
The Constantia Wine tour stops at 2 wine estates:
- Groot Constantia (Wine tasting included here)
- Beau Constantia ( Closed on Mondays )
Once you hop off at any one of the 2 wine estates, you are welcome to explore. The next bus will pass 30/60 minutes later (depending on the day of the week) for you to move on to the next estate
Simply return and re-join the Bus all the way back to the V&A and Cape Town CBD

Hop On Hop Off at any of the stops along the circular route and simply show the same ticket to board the next bus
Kids love the open top buses and have a special kids commentary channel (In English)
