HELLO TO ALL OUR FRIENDS!
Opulent October wishes to all our Members!
What a wonderful time of the year – the days are getting longer and warmer and with September school holidays we are able to enjoy each day to the fullest! We simply love being outdoors and cannot wait to start exploring all the wonderful places in and around our city again!
To celebrate we have decided to extend our special: 2 kids (under the age of 18) travel for free with every 1 full paying adult until the 20th December 2010. What a great opportunity to sit back on the bus with your parents and allow us take care of traffic and parking.
Looking forward to welcoming you aboard!

STOP OF THE MONTH
Camps Bay - Stop 14
Hop off and enjoy the magnificent beach with its fine white sand, flanked by a tidal pool and lined with palm trees. Volleyball and Frisbee playing are popular, building sand castles and looking for sea creatures in the rock crevices.
Before you hop on board the bus to continue your journey, look out for Primi Piatti’s (close to the tidal pool) – they have the most mouth-watering Primi Pod’s menu, especially developed for our younger passengers!

| SPOTTED AT THE AQUARIUM |
|
Galjoen, the national fish of South Africa can be viewed at the Aquarium. It’s not a very good-looking fish, but it belongs to a family of fish that is found only off our coastline. Sadly, our national fish is disappearing fast due to overfishing. Did you know that recreational anglers are only allowed to catch two galjoen per day between 1 March and 14 October each year and that they are not allowed to sell their catch.

SPOTTED ON TABLE MOUNTAIN
|
|
The common sugarbush is one of the more recognizable protea species. Did you know that according to Wild Flowers it was ‘the national flower of South Africa until 1976”. Our national flower now is of course the King Protea. The common sugarbush is a distinctive reddish-pink with an ice-cream cone shape. In Afrikaans it is known as suikerbos. Look out for it on the lower slopes of Table Mountain.
