Iziko- SA Museum. Explore the museum in Cape Town at the bottom of the company gardens. This is one of your last chances to catch the Virtual Earth display. Virtual Earth takes the form of a Gaiasphere which is an interactive digital theatre with animations of changes the earth's surface.
From a touch screen you will be able to select different views of our changing earth, such as the earth at night, ozone hole evolution, earth surface temperatures, earth core structure or interactive atmospheric predictions. |

It's Kidz season on Table Mountain till the 30th of October and that means for every full-paying adult, two children under 18 years are allowed to go up cableway for free.
As part of the Kidz Season experience, all children will be given a treasure hunt map and a Kidz Season armband on arrival. You can win fun prizes using the treasure hunt map. You will also receive a 10% discount on specially marked items at The Shop at the Top when you show off your Kidz Season armband.

We've found Nemo!
Western clownfish (Nemo), have a special relationship with anemones. Normally, anemones would use their stinging cells to catch fish, but clownfish have a special coating on their skins that protect them against these cells.
The anemone and the clownfish protect each other from predators and the clownfish also makes sure that the anemone is kept clean of bits of dirt. This type of relationship is called a symbiotic relationship. |
FACTS about Cape Town

When you're on top of Table Mountain remember that the first European explorer to climb to the top of this Mountain was António de Saldanha in 1503. There was no cable car then and no café serving hot chocolate.
Until Jan Van Riebeek gave Cape Town its name the peninsula was known as Saldanha's watering spot, after the explorer that stopped here and climbed the mountain. |

Cape Youth Adventure are currently preparing for their Winter Holiday Day camp which is going to run from the 4th of July until the 8th of July. Are you adventurous and living in the Northern Suburbs? The camp will be in the Durbanville/ Bellville Area.
