SPOTTED ON TABLE MOUNTAIN
Cape Docter - Over Table Mountain
The Cape Doctor
The summer season heralds the arrival of the Cape Doctor that helps keep Cape Town healthy. This doctor has only one degree, namely wind force! Yes, of course we are talking about the South Easter wind that works its magic by blowing away all the smog and other impurities in Cape Town, bringing about fresh and clear skies. Look out for Table Mountain’s Table Cloth, your first indication of the imminent arrival of the South Easter and celebrate nature’s way of keeping the Cape in shape!

FACTS ABOUT
CAPE TOWN
King Edward, Cape Town City Hall
King Edward V11
Opposite to Cape Town’s City Hall is a statue of King Edward V11, the oldest son of Queen Victoria and heir to the British throne. During the Anglo Boer War he did something quite remarkable. He refused to be crowned King of England until peace was achieved between the British troops and the Boers. This marked him as a great statesman and is the reason that he holds such a prominent position in Cape Town.
