V&A Waterfront & Stop 1
V&A Waterfront, Stop1, hosts exciting adventures in the V&A Waterfront, Two Oceans Aquarium - Easter Egg Hunt, Scratch Patch, the Pirate Boat, the Maritime Museum, Chavonnes Battery Museum or browse through the Blue and Red Sheds. The amphitheatre is hosting the final Fantastic Big Bands and Jazz Ensembles on the first Saturday and Sunday of April.
SPOTTED at the AQUARIUM
V&A Aquarium stop1, Kids Egg Hunt
Hidden eggs and snake shows! From 2 – 10 April and then again from 22 April to 2 May, the Two Oceans Aquarium (Stop 1) will be having a special Easter egg hunt for the little ones and eggciting snake shows. Spot the hidden eggs in the exhibits, complete the map and claim your marshmallow egg. Then drop the entry form into the competition box and stand a chance to win an awesome Easter hamper. The snake shows will happen twice a day in the I&J Predator Exhibit area.
SPOTTED on TABLE MOUNTAIN
Lizzard on Table Mountain!
The southern Rock Agama Lizzard - Is not poisonous, but can inflict a painful bite, because it has two fan-like teeth in the upper jaw. It’s diet consists mainly of ants and termites. When they display their territorial colours during breeding season, adult males are olive-green and red-brown above with dark maroon to black markings. The head and forelimbs are blue to greenish-blue. Females are dark-brown above making it difficult to spot on the rocks. When danger threatens, it hugs the rock and its bright colours fade quickly so that it becomes camouflaged against the lichen-covered rocks.
FACTS about Cape Town
Iziko Museum - Slave Lodge
The Slave Lodge, within easy reach from Stop 5, is one of the oldest buildings in Cape Town. The building has a long and rich history, reflected in the many names of the building over the last 3 centuries: Slave Lodge, Government Offices Building, Old Supreme Court, and SA Cultural History Museum. Exciting changes are planned for this site, but popular exhibitions like the Memory Centre can still be visited through the process.
