Aquarium in KapstadtShow Details

Our fairy tale arrival at the V&A WaterfrontShow Details

My arrival in Cape Town put me in the center of a fairytale. As my ship glided into the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront we were greeted by children on a ferry hurrying off to school, sea lions floating lazily in the water, yachts racing in the distance,... and Table Mountain beckoning us to come closer. The Waterfront is an area of stores and restaurants where you can spend an hour or a day. From there you can travel to Robben Island, take a variety of boat tours, and even tour the area in a helicopter. The Two Oceans Aquarium is just three blocks inland. Shopping includes a 3 story modern mall that has a wide variety of stores and restaurants. There is even a large grocery. There are many stores along the waterfront, selling souvenirs, clothes, and needed supplies. You will find several banks here and ATM machines. You can eat in the food court, dockside (I
ecommend ‘Fisherman‘s Choice‘, south of the big mall), or in a cafe. The nicest part f the waterfront is the local performers showing off their abilities. During the early evening and all day on the weekends you can listen to singers and musicians, and watch many different
street performers. The better performers attract quite a crowd.

I\'ve been to the Two Oceans Aquarium a few times now, and must say that I\'m still not bored, because there\'s simply so much to see. In fact, many of the creatures on display I saw for the first time in this aquarium. I remember the excitement when... this place first opened years ago with all the cool little extras like a touch pool for kids to learn more (and indeed touch) harmless critters like sand sharks and rays, and a little coral reef section! Situated in the V&A Waterfront it my family to explore more than just the aquarium. We recommend!
