Travel by bus into city centreShow Details

17 December 2009 | By sweden
My husband and his parents travelled from Sweden to enjoy Cape Town\'s hospitality and warmth. We where not disappointed. I would like to personally say thank you to \'Manny\' at the Cape Town tourism centre that not only helped us select a winelands... tour, but suggested that we \'do\' a city tour on the international city sightseeing bus. I walked from this point to the Green Market Square (not green!!) and shopped for beautiful crafts to send to family in sweden. (in Bergsviken). Naturally the family sent many pictures of Table mountain to Bergsviken - loved it! Best way to get to Table Mountain is to hop on to the red bus at cape tourism in burg street. thank you again manny!

ah! we loved it. The trees, the smells, the people and then the street - made from \'kobbelstene\' from apparently Table Mountain - not sure. But it is certainly been an experience to see art, craft and hippie clothing in a square not more than 200 x... 200 meter!
I WALKED from green market to the company gardens. We picked up brochures at the official tourism centre - close to strand street. People very helpful.
