Do I have to start the Tour at the V&A Waterfront?

You can start the tour at any of the scheduled stops along the bus route.

Where can I purchase tickets for the Sightseeing Bus Tour?

There are three ways to buy your tickets:

• on the bus, at any one of our scheduled stops along the way,
• from our Tour Office, situated at Stop 1 at the V&A Waterfront,
• online

Do I have to make a reservation to join the tour?

No need to book, however buying tickets online entitles you to a discount.

What is the difference between the Red City Tour and the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour?

Red City Tour: this route provides a historical and factual overview of Cape Town, and includes a stop at Table Mountain.

What are the running times for the Red City Tour? (Summer / Winter)

Summer: 1st Bus departs from Bus Stop 1, Two Oceans Aquarium at 09h00 with departures every 15 minutes.
Winter: 1st Bus departs from Bus Stop 1, Two Oceans Aquarium at 09h15 with departures every 20 minutes.

What are the running times for the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour? (Summer / Winter)

Summer: 1st Bus departs from Bus Stop 1, Two Oceans Aquarium at 09h00 with departures every 20 minutes.  
Winter: 1st Bus departs from Bus Stop 1, Two Oceans Aquarium at 09h15 with departures every 25 minutes.

What is the cost for a 1-Day Valid Ticket?

› The 1-Day Valid Ticket costs R 150-00 per adult. The online price is R120 (Save R30)
› Kids aged 5 - 15 is R70.
› Kids under 5 are free. (2 children per 1 full-paying adult allowed)

This ticket is route specific, (you need to choose between a Red City
Tour OR Blue Mini Peninsula Tour on the day), and is only valid on
the date of purchase.

What is a 2-Day Valid Ticket?

› The 2-Day Valid Ticket costs R 250-00 per adult. The online price is R220 (Save R30)
› Children aged 5 - 15 is R150.
› Children under 5 are free. (2 children per 1 full-paying adult allowed)

This ticket is valid for 2 days and can be used to go on both the Red
City Tour & Blue Mini Peninsula Tour for 2 consecutive days. Valid
only on date of purchase and the day following the purchase.

Buy a 2-Day Valid Ticket and receive Free a Night Tour (summer only), Canal Cruise and Wine Tour.

What is the Night Tour?

The Night Tour is available from 21 September to 6 May and departs daily from Bus Stop 1. This is a non Hop On-Hop Off tour. Pack your picnic basket, blanket and sunglasses as this tour takes you on an unforgettable sunset trip. The Night Tour provides glimpses of the sun setting over the Atlantic Ocean on route to Signal Hill and great photo opportunities of Cape Town settling into nightlife.
› Departure: 18h00
› Arrive back at Bus Stop 1: 20h00

› The Night Tour Ticket costs R 100-00 per adult. Buy online for R90 (Save R10)
› Children aged 5 - 15 is R50.
› Children under 5 are free. (2 children per 1 full-paying adult allowed)

What is the Canal Cruise?

The Canal Cruise is a Hop On-Hop Off boat trip along the channels of the V&A Waterfront. This 35 minute cruise has 4 Jetty Points that can be explored. Explore the Two Oceans Aquarium, One & Only, City Lodge, Harbour Bridge and Cape Town International Convention Centre. This trip is a winner with kids of all ages. 16 language commentary!
› The 1-Day Valid Canal Cruise Ticket costs R 30-00 per adult.
› Children aged 5 - 15 is R10.

What is the Wine Bus on the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour?

The Wine Bus is an extension of the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour. The Wine Bus tour starts at Constantia Nek and takes you into Constantia Valley. Here you can explore two wine estates: Beau Constantia, Groot Constantia Wine Estate and Eagles' Nest Wine Farm. 

› The Wine Tour is included at no cost in the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour
› Entrance fees and wine tastings and wine is for your own account.

What is the Cape Point Sidecar Tour?

The Sidecar Tour takes you to Cape Point - from Bus Stop 1, outside the Two Oceans Aquarium, or directly from your hotel. This is a private chauffeur driven tour. One passenger sits behind the chauffeur and one in the Sidecar.
› This 5-hour valid Ticket costs R 1800-00 per bike (minimum 2 people), or R1700 online. (minimum 2 people)
› Price includes entry into Cape Point, over Chapman's Peak and bike gear.

What is the quickest way to get to Table Mountain using your bus?

We have an Express Cableway Bus departing from STOP 1, V&A Waterfront at 08H30.
The first RED CITY TOUR departs the V&A waterfront at 09H00
The last bus departs from STOP 1 at 16H30, but from 20 September to 10 April the last bus departs at 17h15 

What is the rate for Children and Pensioners?

Children aged 5-15 years pay R70-00 for a 1-Day Valid Ticket & R 150-00 for a 2-Day Valid Ticket. Children under 5 are free. For SA Pensioners we offer an ongoing half price discount on all Bus and Canal Cruise tickets on Fridays. (Available only from Bus Stop 1 and SA Pensioners can qualify with a barcoded ID book)
