An exciting and much anticipated year is in full swing. We are only a few short months away from the kick off of the FIFA 2010 Soccer World Cup, when all eyes will be upon South Africa, and one can literally feel the soccer fever mounting!
Much concern has been expressed lately about the Soccer World Cup ‘greed’ that is anticipated as local businesses spike their prices to take advantage of the influx of travelers to our shores.
We can assure you that at City Sightseeing Cape Town have not increased our ticket prices since 2008 and we do not intend to do so for the duration of the World Cup!
Many peoples favourite time of the year has arrived in the Cape - the onset of Autumn when it is not too hot, not too cold and with very little wind! Plus the occasional balmy day with a milder African sun under which to play.
The months ahead in Cape Town are full of exciting events and happenings. 11 June sees the first of the Soccer World Cup matches taking place in the Cape Town Stadium – a Group A match between Uruguay and France.
4 April, Easter Sunday, is the most important date on the Christian calendar, commemorating Christ's resurrection and City Sightseeing wish all those who celebrate Easter a joyous and peaceful time.
Another important date in April for all South Africans, Freedom Day takes place on 27 April and commemorates the first democratic elections held in South Africa on this day in 1994 – how far we have come!
Exciting times, filled with exciting events! We look forward to sharing them with you.
Don’t forget to visit our new website with its invaluable information and discounted options on tickets and tour Top Up’s. The City Sightseeing experience promises you good value for money – in fact, it is one of the best value city tours in the world!!

TOP TRIP TIPS
A few insider tips on things you really should see that will make your visit to this lovely city even better
...................................................
When in Cape Town, be sure to do a bit of shopping whilst taking in the cosmopolitan vibe of Greenmarket Square, situated in the heart of the city. Originally a slave market, before becoming a fruit and vegetable market and in the late 50's a parking lot, the Square now houses a fun, vibrant flea market with buskers, drummers, jugglers and mime artists adding to the mix.
An abundance of coffee shops, restaurants and hotels border on the Square, which is a short walk from the Company gardens, Houses of Parliament, S.A. Museum and the Pan Africa market.
