About City Sightseeing Cape Town

Since 2002 we’ve been hosting local and international visitors on a journey to explore Cape Town’s heritage and many sights, providing an easy mode of transport around our city and offering a casual day out with the family. The Open Top Red Tour Bus or the Hop on and Hop Off, as we’re often referred to, is by far the easiest and most convenient way to discover the thriving metropolis of Cape Town.

Providing the best customer experience, using state of the art technology and showcasing the Mother city is what ensured our top position and Cape Town is really proud of us!

Red City Tour or Blue Mini Peninsula Tour – you choose

Our upgraded fleet of new buses operate two different routes, the ‘historical and rich in culture’ Red City Tour and scenic Blue Mini Peninsula Tour that facilitate access in and around Cape Town. City Sightseeing operates 7 days a week 365 days a year come rain or shine and a bus arrives at each stop at regular scheduled intervals, encouraging you to get off the bus and explore the surrounding area.

VIP Kids Club

Join Kids Club members from around the world and receive your monthly news of Cape Town from a kid’s perspective and a special birthday treat. On the Kids Club website you can share your artwork, play a variety of games or enter competitions.

Welcoming the world to Cape Town

Our state of the art buses offer visitors from around the world a 14-channel multi-language system with a dedicated channel for children. We’re environmentally and community conscious; having been awarded Environmental Accreditation from the Heritage Foundation for our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint. We use recyclable material, are fuel-efficient and recycle our waste. City Sightseeing Cape Town has also invested in entrepreneurial development by reselling products and souvenirs at our kiosk like wire-beaded busses made by local craftsmen. We’re proud of our partnership with Imizamo Yethu Guides that enable us to offer our travelers and tourists a glimpse into township life.
